We run Sai Cargo Packers & Movers out of a spot in Rupee Nagar, specifically on Aradeshire Dady Street near Grant Road. Moving stuff is hard work, and that’s basically what we do every day. We have a small office where we take calls and keep our packing supplies like boxes, tape, and bubble wrap. It’s not a very quiet job because there’s always loading and unloading going on. We started this business because we had a truck and realized people always need help moving house or shifting their offices. We’ve spent a lot of time driving around these streets and carrying heavy furniture up narrow stairs. It’s a physical job and we usually end the day pretty tired. We don't have a fleet of hundreds of trucks, just a few reliable ones and a crew of guys who aren't afraid of a bit of heavy lifting. Sometimes the traffic on Grant Road makes things difficult, but we’ve learned the best times to move to avoid the worst of it. We don’t do big TV ads or anything. Most of our customers are people from the neighborhood who saw our truck or heard about us from a friend. We just try to get the boxes from one place to another without breaking anything. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy. If you’re moving soon, you can find us in Rupee Nagar. We know how stressful it is for people to pack up their whole lives into a truck, so we just try to be helpful and get it done. There are plenty of bigger companies out there with shiny websites, but we prefer to keep things small and personal. We’ve seen every kind of apartment in Grant Road and know how to maneuver big sofas through small doors. It’s not a fancy life, but it pays the bills and we like meeting different people every week. We just show up, pack the boxes, and drive to the next place.
