S K Plastic

Our place is called S K Plastic and we are located in Warje, specifically at Nirant Char Rasta on Vastral Road 129/5. If you know that intersection, you know how crazy the traffic can get. We spend a lot of time just watching the trucks and rickshaws go by from our front door. We keep a lot of stock, mostly plastic bags, containers, and household items that people use every day. The shop is more like a warehouse because things are piled up pretty high. It’s a bit dusty because of all the construction happening on Vastral Road lately, so we have to wipe things down constantly. My father started this business and I took over after I finished school. It’s not the most exciting work, but plastic is something everyone needs for their shops or homes. We have customers who come from quite far away because they know we usually have the sizes they are looking for. The tea stall next door is where we spend our breaks, and that’s about as fancy as it gets for us. Sometimes the electricity goes out in the afternoon and we just have to sit there in the dark for a bit until it comes back. We don't use any big marketing tricks. We just put the goods out and wait for people to stop by while they are stuck in the traffic.
