Sanju Boutique

You can find Sanju Boutique over at A/19 in Ruston Colony, which is part of Chinchwadgoan. The shop is usually full of fabrics and half-finished garments hanging on the racks. It is not a very big space, so things can get a bit cluttered when we have a lot of orders coming in at once. You can hear the hum of the sewing machines from the street sometimes. We spend most of our hours measuring, cutting, and pinning different types of cloth. There are always threads all over the floor by the end of the day. We don't have a fancy showroom with bright lights. It is more of a workspace where we sit and focus on the stitching. Customers come in with their own ideas or photos of what they want, and we try to figure out how to make it work with the material they brought. Sometimes the bobbins run out or a needle breaks, and we have to stop and fix things. The tea stall nearby keeps us going during the long afternoons. It is a quiet street for the most part, but we stay busy with the local crowd from the colony. We handle everything from basic alterations to more detailed outfits, just taking it one piece at a time. It is a simple life of needles, thread, and trying to keep the tape measure handy.
