Mast Boutique

Mast Boutique is a small shop located in the Deccan Gymkhana area. We are tucked away in shop number 37 inside the Bhosale Shinde Arcade. The building is part of the Old Natraj Theater Complex, which is a place almost everyone in the city knows. Being in an arcade means we are surrounded by other small businesses. We all know each other and usually say hello while we are rolling up our shutters in the morning. Our shop is quite small and it is packed with different fabrics and ready-made clothes. It can get a bit tight when we have more than a few people inside at once. We spend our time helping customers find the right colors or taking measurements for alterations. The lighting in the arcade is a bit dim, so we have some extra lamps in the corners to make it feel a bit more welcoming. Sometimes people just stop by to talk even if they are not planning on buying anything that day. We do not mind at all because it makes the day more interesting. My hands are usually covered in threads or chalk marks by the end of the afternoon. We have an old mirror in the back that has a bit of a crack, but it still works for what we need. We have been here for a long time and have seen the neighborhood change quite a bit. We just keep doing our work.
