Riya Beauty Parlour

If you walk down into Kasba Peth you will find us at number 116. Riya Beauty Parlour is near Tambat Haud which is a well known landmark in this part of Pune. This neighborhood is very old and the lanes are narrow so it can be tricky for cars to get through. Most people just walk here. We have a small room where we do all our work. It is nothing fancy but it is comfortable enough for our customers. We have been here in Pune 411011 for quite a few years now. The air smells like the local markets and the copper workshops nearby. We open up early in the morning and stay open until the street lights come on. We have one old sink and a couple of chairs that we've had since we started. People come in to chat as much as they do to get their hair done. It is a very social kind of place. Sometimes we share tea with the ladies who wait. We don't do any big advertising because everyone around here already knows where we are. It is a quiet life in Kasba Peth but we like it that way. The building is a bit leaky when it rains really hard but we manage to keep the towels dry. We just do our job and hope people are happy when they leave the shop. That is really all there is to it.
