Rico operates from Shop No. 107, which is part of the Anil Co-Oprative Housing Society. We are situated right opposite Kamla Nehru Park, which is a nice landmark because everyone in the neighborhood knows where it is. Being in a housing society means things are a bit different than being in a big factory zone. We have residents living above and around us, so we try to keep things relatively quiet, though the shop still gets its fair share of activity. The park across the street brings a lot of people by, especially in the evenings when families are out for a walk. Our shop isn't very large, but we’ve organized it to make the most of the space we have. There are shelves lining the walls and a counter where we talk to anyone who drops in. Sometimes the morning sun hits the front window directly, making it quite bright inside. We spend most of our time managing the day-to-day stuff and making sure the shop stays in order. It’s a very local feel here, and we like being part of this community. We often see the same faces every day, and that makes the work feel a bit more personal. It’s just a regular shop where we do our thing, keep the place clean, and stay busy with whatever needs doing at the moment.
