We are located at 967 B Ravivar Peth. If you know this part of the city, you know how the streets are narrow and always crowded with people and scooters. It is an old market area with a lot of history. We deal with labware, which is basically all the glass stuff you see in science labs, like beakers and test tubes. It is very fragile work. We spend a huge part of our day just wrapping items in paper or bubble wrap and packing them into sturdy boxes. If you aren't careful, something will break, and that’s just money down the drain. The shop is quite small and we have boxes stacked up high against every wall. It can be hard to find a place to sit sometimes. We get a lot of university students coming in, looking for specific things they need for their projects. Sometimes they bring in a piece of glass that’s cracked and ask if we can find a replacement. Ravivar Peth is never quiet; there is always someone shouting or a horn honking outside. Inside, we just try to keep things organized so we can find what people need quickly. We’ve been in this spot for a long time and know all the neighbors. It is simple, repetitive work, but you have to be patient and careful with all that glass. We stay pretty busy from morning until we close up.
