Ramesh General Stores

Ramesh General Stores is right on Sasoon Road, near the Pune Station. Being near the PMT stop means there is never a quiet moment. We see all kinds of people, from students to office workers and travelers catching trains. The shop has been around for a while, and it’s a bit of a landmark for people waiting for their buses. We sell general items—things like snacks, toiletries, and small things people might need on the go. The space is a bit cramped because we try to fit as much stock as possible into the shelves. It’s not the most modern-looking place, but it works for us and the customers. We don't have a big team or fancy uniforms. It’s just us behind the counter. The traffic on Sasoon Road is constant, so there’s always a bit of smoke and noise coming in. We don't really do any promotion or sales pitches. People come in because they need something quickly before their bus arrives. We’ve learned to be fast because everyone is usually in a rush. Sometimes we have a chat with the regulars who live nearby, but mostly it's quick transactions. It’s a busy life being located so close to the station, but we like the energy of it. We just keep the lights on and the shelves filled. We have seen Pune change a lot from our spot here by the PMT stop, but we just keep doing our thing.
