Balaji Traders

Balaji Traders is located right in the middle of Raviwar Peth. If you know the area, you know how crowded and loud it gets with all the traffic and people moving around. We’ve been operating from this spot for quite some time. It’s a wholesale type of setup mostly, so there are bags of grain and pulses stacked up high against the walls. The air usually smells like spices and jute bags. It’s a lot of heavy lifting, moving sacks from the trucks into the storeroom. We don't have fancy displays or air conditioning. It’s just a workspace where we get things done. My father started this, and now I handle the daily bits. We have a few regular tempos that come and go throughout the day. Raviwar Peth is the kind of place where everyone is always in a hurry. We try to keep up with the pace. Sometimes the ledger gets a bit messy, but we know where everything is. We drink a lot of tea while waiting for the next delivery to arrive. It’s hard work, and your clothes get dusty by the end of the shift. But it’s what we do. We aren't trying to be the biggest, just trying to make sure the orders are ready when the customers show up. It's a basic business in a busy part of town. That's us.
