Rajashree Winding Works

Our workshop is out in Kothrud, specifically at 41551 in the Gandhi Bhawani Industrial Estate. If you walk inside, you’ll see stacks of copper wire and different kinds of motors waiting to be fixed. It’s an industrial area, so there is always the sound of machinery and tools in the background. We spend most of our hours winding coils and repairing electrical stuff that has burnt out. It’s greasy work, and our hands are usually stained by the end of the day. The floor is concrete and often has bits of insulation or wire clippings scattered around. We have a few workbenches that have seen better days, but they still hold up. Kothrud has changed a lot, but this industrial estate stays pretty much the same. We don't have a receptionist or a fancy lobby. If you come by, you’ll probably find us mid-job with a motor taken apart on the table. It’s just honest labor. We’ve been doing this for a while, and we know how to handle the heavy stuff. Sometimes it gets quite hot in the shed, especially in the afternoons. We just keep the fans going and stay focused on the task. It’s not the kind of place for a suit and tie. It’s a place for tools and getting things running again.
