Rajas S Gokhale

Sadashiv Peth is a crowded place, and being at 888 Durian Estate means we deal with that every single day. We are right opposite Hotel Lajjat. It’s a landmark everyone knows, so it helps when people are trying to find us. My name is Rajas S Gokhale, and this is where I do my work. The office isn't very big, just enough for some desks and some files stacked up. Most days start with the sound of scooters outside and the smell of food from the nearby hotels. We don’t have a big corporate setup. It’s mostly just me and a couple of others handling whatever comes our way. The building is older, and the stairs can be a bit of a workout if you aren't used to them. Sometimes the electricity goes for a bit, but we just keep going. It gets quite hot in the afternoons, so we usually have the fans running full speed. People stop by quite often, sometimes for business and sometimes just to say hello because that’s how it is in this part of Pune. We’ve been here at this address for a good while, and we know the neighbors pretty well. There’s always someone moving boxes or parked illegally in the lane. We don't really do anything fancy here, just regular work day in and day out. If you come by, you’ll probably see us buried in some papers or on the phone. It’s a simple life.
