Raj Tractor

If you head down to Raviwar Peth, you'll find us near the ITC area, not too far from the Vishwakarma Chambers. We are right there on the Ring Road at number three-hundred and forty-seven. Raj Tractor is basically a place where we deal with heavy machinery and all the grit that comes with it. The shop smells like engine oil and old metal, which is something you just get used to after a week of working here. Farmers come in from outside the city, often looking tired and hoping we have the specific part they need to get back to work. We spend a lot of time looking through heavy catalogs or moving big metal components around the floor. It’s a noisy area with all the trucks and traffic passing by on the Ring Road, so you have to shout a bit to be heard sometimes. We have a couple of wooden benches for people to sit on while they wait for us to check the back storage. The floor always has a few oil stains that never really go away no matter how much we scrub. We don't have fancy uniforms or a polished showroom; it’s just us in our work clothes trying to get the right parts out to the right people. Sometimes the inventory count is off and we have to spend hours in the dark back room counting bolts and pins. It's a simple business, but it keeps us busy from sunrise to sunset.
