If you’re looking for Punekar Eye Care and Contact Lens Clinic, we’re over at Shop No 44 in Aundh. It’s a small shop, but we’ve managed to fit everything we need inside. We’ve got the racks with all the frames and the little room in the back where we do the eye tests. Aundh is a busy place, so there’s always a lot of foot traffic passing by the window. We get a lot of students and office workers coming in because their eyes are tired from looking at screens all day. I spend a lot of time helping people pick out frames that don't slide off their noses. We also do a lot of contact lens fittings, which involves a lot of teaching people how to not poke themselves in the eye. The shop can get a bit cluttered with boxes of lenses and lens solution bottles. It’s just me and a couple of others working here most days. We don't have a fancy coffee machine or anything, but we usually have a glass of water for anyone who asks. Sometimes the computer we use for the billing is a bit slow, so we have to ask people to wait a second. It’s a simple, local business. We aren't part of some big national group. We just help the people in Aundh see a bit more clearly and fix their glasses when they step on them.
