We are based at 5 Chinchwad East, inside the Tapasvi Compound. It’s mostly just a warehouse space where we keep our packing materials like cardboard boxes, tape, and bubble wrap. Moving houses is what we do, so our days are mostly spent loading things into trucks or wrapping furniture so it doesn't get scratched. The compound can get a bit dusty when the wind blows. It’s hard work, mostly lifting heavy boxes and maneuvering big sofas through narrow doorways. We have a small crew of guys who are used to the heavy lifting. Our office is just a corner of the warehouse with a desk and a few chairs that have seen a lot of use. We don't spend much time sitting down anyway. Usually, we are out at someone's house or on the road between Chinchwad and other parts of the city. We don't have a big fancy website or a marketing department. Most of our work comes from people seeing our trucks or hearing about us from a neighbor. Sometimes we run out of tape or the truck has a flat tire, and we just deal with it as it happens. It’s a basic business of moving stuff from point A to point B. We just try to get through the day without breaking anything. It’s a lot of sweat and hard work, but it’s what we know.
