Prefect Interio

Prefect Interio is on Katraj Kakasaheb Gadgill Road, at 17 B 2 3. This road is always jammed with traffic, so we hear honking all day long. The workspace is filled with wood chips and bits of fabric samples. It’s not a polished showroom where you have to worry about where you sit. There are tools laying on the benches and rolls of tape everywhere. We spend most of our time measuring things and sketching out ideas on scraps of paper. Sometimes we forget to eat lunch until it's nearly dinner time because we get caught up in a project. The building is a bit old, and the stairs are steep. We move furniture and materials up and down them more often than we’d like. It keeps us in shape, I suppose. The light in the back room is a bit dim, so we use a bunch of desk lamps. We started this because we liked the process of making things. It’s hard work and our hands are usually a bit dirty by the end of the shift. We know the other shop owners on the street. We often borrow tools from the guy next door when we can't find ours. It’s a busy, messy, and honest place to work. We don't have any big corporate plans; we just take the jobs as they come. Most days, we’re here until the sun goes down, just trying to get things finished. It’s a lot of manual labor but it feels good at the end of the day.
