Prakash Varieties

We are located at number one near the Datta Mandir in the Sangavi area, though some people know the general location as Sion Koliwada. Prakash Varieties is a simple shop that focuses on providing the basics for the neighborhood. Being near the temple means we see a lot of people coming and going throughout the day. We have a variety of things on our shelves like household goods, some small electronics, and items for daily use. The shop is not very large and the lighting inside is a bit dim but we like the atmosphere. We have a counter where we sit and wait for customers to come in with their lists. Sometimes it is just a neighbor looking for a specific type of thread or a new lock for their door. We do our best to find what they need even if we have to dig through a few boxes in the back. Sangavi is a nice place to have a business because people are friendly and they appreciate having a shop nearby. We don't do any advertising or anything like that. We just rely on people seeing us when they go to the mandir. The floor is made of old stone and it gets cold in the winter but it is a solid place to work. We have been doing this for years and it is just our daily routine now. It is a good way to stay connected.
