We are situated in Bhosarigoan, specifically in Vaibhav Nagar at 232/2. Pragau Tools Pvt Ltd is basically a machine shop where we spend our time making various metal parts and tools. The sound of metal hitting metal and the hum of lathes is what we hear all day long. We have several machines lined up in the shed, and there’s always a bit of oil on the floor despite our cleaning. We work from drawings that customers bring in, trying to get the dimensions as close as possible. It’s a lot of repetitive work, turning handles and checking gauges. Sometimes a machine breaks down and we have to spend half the day fixing it ourselves instead of producing parts. Our clothes usually have a few oil stains, and there’s always metal shavings stuck to our shoes. It’s a small team, and we all know how to run most of the equipment. We aren't a high-tech factory with robots; it’s mostly manual labor and old-fashioned skill. The area around Vaibhav Nagar is full of similar small workshops, so there’s a lot of coming and going of people. We don’t have a fancy lobby or a receptionist. If someone wants to talk to us, they usually just walk straight onto the shop floor. We just try to keep the machines running and meet the deadlines for the parts we’ve promised to finish.
