Pradeep Kumar Mittal

Pradeep Kumar Mittal is what people call me around here. My office is located at 240 Mangaldas Road which is right in the heart of Dhobi Talao. If you know Mumbai, you know how busy this area gets. There are people everywhere and the traffic never seems to stop. My place is tucked away in one of the older buildings. It has high ceilings and big windows that let in some air, though it is usually pretty humid. I spend my days sitting at a wooden desk that has been in my family for years. I do not have any fancy computers or high-tech gear everywhere. Just the basics to get things done. Most of the people I see are regulars who have been coming to me for a long time. We talk about the weather or how the trains are running late again. It is a very normal way to spend the day. I usually pack a lunch from home and eat it while watching the street below. Mangaldas Road is always full of surprises. Sometimes a truck gets stuck or there is a procession passing by. It keeps things interesting while I work on my records. I do not try to make it seem like more than it is. It is just a small business in a big city. I keep the door open most days for the breeze. There are plenty of tea stalls around here so I never have to go far for a hot drink. The noise is constant but you eventually stop hearing it after a few years.
