Poona Hospital & Research Centre

Poona Hospital & Research Centre is located right on Station Road. Being near the station means we are always on our toes. There is a constant stream of people moving past the building at all hours. We get a lot of emergency cases or people who just arrived in the city and need to see a doctor right away for something. It’s a big building with a lot of history to it. We’ve seen a lot of changes on Station Road over the years. Inside, it’s a typical hospital environment. It’s loud, busy, and sometimes a bit messy with all the people coming in and out. We don’t have a polished corporate look at all. It’s a place where work gets done. The doctors are usually running from one room to another. We have a research side too, though it’s mostly tucked away in the back offices where it's a bit quieter. Most of the day-to-day is just helping the patients who walk in off the street. The lobby is almost never empty. It’s a bit of a landmark for people around here. We just try to stay organized and keep up with the fast pace of the street outside. It’s hard work, but it’s what we do every day here. We have nurses who have been here for decades. They know exactly how to handle the crowds. It's a busy life, but it keeps us going. It’s just how things are at Station Road.
