Poona Hospital & Research Center

Our office is tucked away in the DSK Chandradeep building over in Mukund Nagar. It’s on the eighth floor, room C-801. It is a bit different being in a complex like this compared to a standalone hospital building. Most people find us by looking for the main entrance of the DSK block, which is usually busy with people coming and going from different offices. The lift can be a little slow during the lunch hour because so many people are using it at once. Inside our space, we have a small waiting area with some chairs and a desk where we keep all the files. It is generally quiet here, which is nice if you are trying to get some work done or talk to a patient without all the street noise from outside. We have a few windows that look out over the neighborhood, and you can see the trees and other rooftops from up here. The staff here is small, just a couple of us usually, making sure everything is scheduled right and the research notes are kept in order. We don’t have a big cafeteria or anything, so we usually just bring our lunch from home and eat in the small break area. It’s a practical setup for the kind of research work we do here. Sometimes we have to run back and forth to the main hospital, but mostly we stay here at the Mukund Nagar location and handle the paperwork.
