Our office is A202 in The Pearl building over in the Baner Balewadi area. It is a pretty modern part of the city, so there is always a lot of construction and new shops opening up around us. We spend most of our time sitting in front of screens trying to figure out better ways for people to get their work done. The office has a lot of windows, which is nice for the light, but it can get a bit bright in the middle of the day. We have a few desks pushed together and a lot of tangled wires for the computers. The Pearl is a decent building, though the security guards are a bit strict about where you park your scooter. We usually have lunch together and talk about things other than work, like the traffic or the new mall nearby. It’s a quiet place most of the time except when the neighbors are doing some renovations. We have a shelf full of books about software and management that nobody has touched in months. Pune weather is usually good, so we keep the windows open when it’s not too dusty outside. It feels more like a small group of friends working together than a big company. We try to keep things organized but the whiteboard is always covered in scribbles that only we understand. It's a simple setup but it works for us.
