You can find us over at Swastick Char Rasta, which is right by the Navragpura bus stand in the Deccan Gymkhana area. It’s a busy spot and there’s always something going on outside our windows. We’ve been working as interior designers for a while now, mostly focusing on practical spaces that people actually live in. It’s not always about the most expensive materials. Often, it’s just about figuring out where a cupboard should go so it doesn't get in the way. We spend a lot of time looking at samples and drawing things out on paper. Sometimes the office gets messy with all the catalogues and wood bits lying around. That’s just part of the process. We don't have a receptionist or anything like that. If the phone rings, whoever is closest picks it up. We like being near the bus stand because it’s easy for people to drop by, though parking can be a bit of a nightmare sometimes. We’ve done all sorts of jobs over the years, some big and some very small. We don't really mind either way as long as the work is interesting. Dealing with contractors and laborers is a big part of our day. It’s not always glamorous like you see on TV. It’s mostly just making sure things fit where they are supposed to. We just enjoy making places look a bit better.
