You can find Padmavathi Multi-Speciality Hospital right near the Pune-bus stand, over by Swastik Chowk in the Ganesh wadi area. It is a very loud and active part of town, which I guess makes sense with all the buses coming in and out at all hours. Our hospital sits right in the middle of all that hustle. It is a multi-speciality place, so we see all kinds of people for all kinds of reasons every single day. One minute it might be someone with a minor cough and the next it is something more involved. The building is pretty standard for this part of Pune. It isn't a brand-new skyscraper, just a solid place where we do our daily work. Being so close to the bus stand means we get people from out of town sometimes, folks who just arrived and aren't feeling great after their journey. We do not have a big corporate feel here. Most of the doctors and nurses are just regular people who want to do their jobs and then go home to their own families. The waiting room gets pretty full on Mondays, and the noise from the chowk outside usually drifts in through the windows if they are open. It is just how things are around here. We do not use fancy words to describe what we do. We just open the doors in the morning, see who needs help, and try to get through the day without too much chaos. It is honest work in a busy city.
