Padma Travels

Padma Travels is based out of Adarsh Nagar East, right in the Dhonore area. It’s a simple setup we’ve got here, mostly focused on getting people from one place to another. Our office is easy to miss if you aren't looking for it, but the locals know where we are. We spend a lot of time on the telephone, checking bus timings or seeing if there are any train berths available for someone’s trip back home. It’s usually just us and a few maps pinned to the wall to help explain routes to people who come in. Adarsh Nagar is a busy residential spot, so we get a lot of walk-ins who just want to know the quickest way to get out of town for the weekend. The desk is always covered in notebooks and pens because we’re constantly scribbling down names and dates. It’s not a high-tech operation, just a computer that’s seen better days and a bunch of files. We like it this way because it’s easy to manage. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoon, so we just sit out front for a bit until it comes back on. Dealing with travel can be stressful when things get delayed, so we just try to stay calm and help people find another way. We’ve been at this Dhonore location for quite some time and have seen the neighborhood change around us. There's a small shop next door where we get our tea every morning.
