Om Sai Mens Parlour

I've been running Om Sai Mens Parlour here in Dattawadi for quite some time now. Our shop is right in Vijat Nivas Apartment, which is just a short walk from the Dattawadi Police Chowky. It’s a pretty straightforward place where men from around the neighborhood come to get their hair cut or a quick shave before work. I started this because I knew how to handle a pair of scissors and people around here needed a reliable spot that doesn't charge too much. It’s usually busy in the mornings and on weekends when everyone has a day off. We have a couple of chairs and some mirrors, nothing fancy or over the top. Most of the guys who come in are regulars who live in the nearby buildings. We talk about the weather or whatever is happening in Pune while I work. Sometimes the shop gets a bit crowded, and people have to wait on the bench outside, but nobody seems to mind much. I try to keep the place clean, though hair tends to get everywhere by the afternoon. It’s honest work and I enjoy being part of this community. People know where to find us since we’re so close to the chowky. It's just a simple shop for local people who want to look decent without any fuss or expensive salon prices. We open early and stay until the last customer is done most nights.
