Nukkad

Nukkad is our little spot over in Baner 2. The name pretty much says it all, we are just a corner place where people can come and hang out. Baner has changed a lot lately with all the new buildings, but this spot stays the same. A few tables and some plastic chairs are all we have for people to sit and talk for hours. Usually, it gets pretty loud in the evenings because of the traffic and folks coming home from work. The menu isn't big or complicated. We just serve what the guys in the back know how to make well. They stay busy with the stove, especially when that evening rush starts around seven. A lot of our time is spent cleaning up after the crowds and making sure there are enough supplies for the next morning. It’s a simple setup, nothing like those fancy cafes you see further down the road. Most of our customers live in the nearby apartments and just want a break from their own kitchens. Some of them we know by face, even if we don't know all their names yet. It is just a place to be yourself, grab a bite, and watch the world go by on the street outside. Being here every day is hard work but we enjoy the routine of the neighborhood and seeing the familiar people who stop by for a quick chat.
