Down in Talwade, you'll find Nrusinha Plastic. We’re out at Pune 76, right in the heart of the industrial belt. The air always smells a bit like heated plastic around here, which is just part of the job. Our facility isn't something you'd see on a postcard. It’s a functional shed with machines that have seen a lot of use. We make various plastic items, mostly for other businesses nearby. It’s a lot of repetitive work, watching the molds and making sure the temperature stays right. My son and I run the place with a couple of workers. We don't have a website or a social media manager. We just rely on people knowing we’re here and knowing we do a decent job. The floor is usually covered in small plastic pellets and the noise of the hydraulic presses is constant. It’s hard work and it gets hot in the summer, but we’ve been doing it for years. We don't use any of that polished language to talk about our goals. We just want to finish the batch on time so we can get paid and go home to our families. It’s a very basic operation. We have our regulars who’ve been buying from us since we started. We don't need a lot of bells and whistles. We just provide plastic parts from our small corner of Talwade. It's nothing fancy, but it keeps the lights on and the family fed, which is enough for us.
