Our base for Non is Flat No 5 in Gulmohar Apartment, located in the Bharat Colony area of Karve Nagar in Pune. It is a fairly quiet part of town, which is good because it helps us focus on what we are doing. The apartment is on a floor that gets a bit of a breeze in the evenings, which is nice during the summer months. We have turned the living room into our main work area, and the smaller rooms are used for storage and keeping all our supplies. It is a bit of a tight fit sometimes, especially when we have a lot of stuff delivered at once. We have been in Karve Nagar for some time now, and we have gotten to know the shopkeepers around Bharat Colony pretty well. Our office does not look like those sleek places you see in the city center. We have mismatched curtains and a clock that is always five minutes fast. We do not really mind the small imperfections because it makes the place feel more like ours. We spend a lot of time just working through our tasks, punctuated by the occasional power cut or a visit from the water delivery man. We do not have a big mission statement or a set of corporate values on the wall. We just try to be honest about what we can do and get it finished on time. It is a small, local way of running things that works for us.
