Operating out of Electronic Sadan II in Bhosari is a bit different than being in the heavy metal shops located down the road. It is generally a bit quieter here, though the MIDC traffic is still a nightmare during the evening rush. We have set ourselves up at number 22, and it is a space filled with a lot of small parts and testing gear. You have to be careful where you step sometimes because there is always a project spread out on the floor or a bench. The light in the workspace is okay, but we could probably use some better bulbs in the back corner. We deal with instruments and electronics, so things are a bit more delicate than what you would find in a typical foundry. Most of us have been working together for a long time, and we have seen the local industry go through a lot of ups and downs. The rainy season is always a bit of a worry because the roof drips near the side wall, but we have got a bucket there for now. We do not have a big reception area or anything like that. If someone visits, they usually just pull up a plastic chair near the main desk. It is just a regular bunch of people doing their jobs every day. We do not really bother with big meetings; we just talk over lunch or while we are working on a circuit. It is a practical way to run things.
