We’ve been in the transport business for a while, focusing on the routes between Poona and Gujarat mostly, though we go elsewhere too. The office is on the ground floor, which makes it easy for drivers to pop in and out with their delivery notes. It’s a bit cramped inside because we have so many files from over the years. We haven't really changed the way we do things much. We take an order, find a truck, and get it on its way. M G Road can be a nightmare for parking, so we’re always shuffling vehicles around. The guys working here are local, and we’ve all grown up around trucks and logistics. There’s no fancy talk here; we just tell you what can be done and what can't. Sometimes a truck gets a flat or the weather in Gujarat makes the roads impassable, and we just have to wait it out. It's part of the job. We drink a lot of tea and spend a lot of time on the phone. Our neighbors are mostly other small businesses, and we all help each other out when we can. It’s a basic operation, but it keeps us busy from morning until late evening. We like the routine of it all and the people we meet along the way.
