Naaz Carpet House

Naaz Carpet House is over at Shop No. 2, 138 B in Narayan Peth. We are right across from Hotel Sanskruti, which is a good landmark if you are looking for us. The shop is filled with rolls of carpets and rugs stacked up high. It smells like wool and dust most of the time, but we like it. We spend a lot of time unrolling things for people to look at and then rolling them back up again. It is heavy work and my back usually hurts by the end of the week. Narayan Peth is always buzzing with people and scooters, so there is plenty to see out the front door. We have been here for a good while now. We don't do fancy ads or have a big website. People mostly find us because they saw the shop while going to the hotel or someone told them about us. We carry different styles, some plain and some with patterns. We have a small stool in the corner where we sit and drink tea when it is quiet. Sometimes the lighting in the shop isn't great, so we take the carpets out to the sidewalk to show the real colors in the sun. It is a simple business. We just sell carpets and try to keep the shop organized, even though it usually gets messy by afternoon. We usually stay open until the street lights come on.
