We are based over at Tain Square in Fatima Nagar, shop number 4. It’s a good little spot because the square always has people coming and going for coffee or shopping. We work with a lot of different designs and fabrics here. Most of our day is spent looking at materials and making sure the patterns are cut right. It gets a bit messy with all the scraps and thread on the floor, but that is just part of the work for us. We aren't a big factory; it's a small workshop where we can actually see what we are doing and talk to the people who come in. Sometimes we have a lot of orders piled up and we have to work quickly to get them finished. Other times, it’s a bit quieter and we can take our time with the details. People from around Fatima Nagar know we are here and they often bring in things they want made or fixed. We don't use much fancy equipment, just the machines that work and that we know how to use well. The lighting in here is pretty good, which helps when we are doing the fine work late in the day. If you walk into Tain Square, you’ll probably see our door open. We usually have something new we are working on sitting out on the main table for people to see. It’s a lot of work on the eyes and the hands, but we like seeing the finished pieces when they are finally done. We just keep our heads down and sew.
