Global Agro Services

We’re located right across from the Primary Health Centre in Warulwadi. It’s a very easy place to find because everyone in the village knows where the health centre is. Global Agro Services is basically a small shop where we help out the local farmers with whatever they need for their crops. We might be selling seeds one day or helping someone fix a piece of equipment that broke down in the field. It’s a dusty little place with a lot of heavy bags of fertilizer stacked up in the corners. We don't have fancy furniture or a computer system that works all the time. Most of our notes and accounts are kept in a thick diary on the main counter. The front door is usually wide open, and people just wander in to ask questions or wait for their turn to talk. It gets quite loud when the buses pass by on the main road. We aren't trying to be a big chain or a corporate business. We just want to make sure the farmers in Warulwadi have what they need to get by. Some days we are out in the fields ourselves helping with a problem, so the shop stays closed for a few hours. We don’t have a mission statement or any fancy slogans. We just know that if the crops fail, the whole village suffers, so we do our bit to help. It’s simple, local work. If you need us, you can usually find us sitting outside on the bench when the sun goes down.
