Sri Balamurugan Traders

Sri Balamurugan Traders is located right in Lane Number Two in Hadapsar. If you know the area, you know how busy this lane gets with all the delivery tempos and people moving around. Our place is basically a big room filled with sacks and boxes stacked almost to the ceiling. It can get a bit dark in the back, and the smell of raw grains or whatever we have in stock that week is quite strong. We spend most of the morning unloading stuff that arrived overnight and making sure everything is where it should be. It’s physical work, and by the end of the day, our backs usually ache a bit. We have a small wooden desk near the entrance where we keep the ledger and a calculator that’s missing one of its rubber feet. There isn't much room to walk around when a new shipment comes in, so you have to squeeze past the bags. We deal with a lot of regular customers who have been coming to this lane for years, so we know most of them by face even if we don't always remember names. We don't have any big signs or bright lights, just the old shutter that we pull up every morning at eight. It is a simple way to make a living, and Hadapsar is a good place to be because there is always something happening outside our door. Sometimes we just sit on the steps during a quiet hour and watch the traffic go by.
