Abhay Traders

We are set up over on Honey Park Road in the Adajan Dn area of Kharadi. It’s more of a warehouse than a shop, really. We have stacks of boxes everywhere. Sometimes it's hard to find a place to sit down because there is so much inventory coming in. We deal with a lot of different goods. One day it might be hardware, the next it’s something else entirely. It depends on what people are asking for. I spend most of my day on the phone or checking lists. The truck drivers come in and out, and we have to make sure the loading goes right. The dust from the road gets inside quite a bit, so we are always dusting off the crates. It’s not the quietest place to work, especially with the construction going on nearby. We don’t have a fancy office. It’s just a desk with a lot of papers and a computer that’s a bit slow. We know the other business owners on this street, and we help each other out with change or moving heavy stuff. It’s a straightforward way to make a living. We buy things, we store them, and we sell them to people who need them. No big mystery. My brother helps with the deliveries, though his truck breaks down more than it should. We just keep the gates open and keep moving the stock.
