You’ll find Shri Achaleshwar Traders right in the Sultan Market in Urulikanchan. It’s a busy market area and we fit right in with the other shops. We trade in various goods that the local people and farmers need. It could be grain, it could be other supplies, depends on the season really. The market can be very chaotic in the mornings with trucks unloading and people shouting, but that’s the way it’s always been here. Our shop is old and has seen better days, but it’s sturdy enough. We have bags of stuff stacked up against the walls and there’s always a faint smell of earth and grain in the air. We don't bother with fancy signs or bright lights. People know us by name and they know where to find us. We spend a lot of time on the phone checking prices and talking to suppliers. It’s a lot of manual work, moving sacks and weighing things out for customers. We have a small desk where we keep our ledgers. We still like to do things on paper mostly. Sultan Market is a good place for a business like ours because everyone passes through eventually. We’ve been here for many years and have seen the market change quite a bit. It's noisy and dusty in the market, but we've gotten used to it after all these years of trading here. We just do honest trade with whoever walks through the door.
