Mohan Plastic Industries

Over in the H-Block of MIDC Pimpri, you can find Mohan Plastic Industries. The address is A-52 on Kelkar Road, near Raman Baugh Chowk. It’s a loud place because the injection molding machines are always running. If you’ve never been to an industrial area like Pimpri, it might seem a bit overwhelming with all the trucks and the smell of hot plastic. We’ve been working out of this unit for a long time. It’s basically one big room filled with molds and raw plastic pellets. We make all sorts of small plastic items that you probably use without thinking about it. The heat in the summer is the worst part, as the machines put out a lot of warmth, but we have some big exhaust fans that help a little. We don’t have a fancy front office, just a small desk in the corner where we keep the invoices and some old files. Most of our days are spent checking the parts as they come off the line to make sure they aren't warped. It’s a greasy, noisy job, but it’s what we know. We aren't trying to be the biggest factory in the MIDC, we just want to make sure the orders go out correctly and that the machines don't break down on a Friday afternoon. It’s a simple operation at A-52, just people working hard to get things made.
