Mohan Madhav Deshmukh

This place in Kothrud, at Survey No 86/1 in the Hari Krupa Building, is where I’ve been running things for a long time. It’s not a big corporate setup. It’s just me, Mohan Madhav Deshmukh, handling the daily business that comes through. The building is a typical Kothrud structure, nothing too fancy, just solid and familiar. I spend most of my mornings going through the mail and checking what needs to be done. The office has a wooden desk that’s been here since I started, and a couple of cupboards for all the records. Outside, the neighborhood is usually bustling with people going to the local market. Hari Krupa is easy to find if you know the area, though the street sign is a bit small. I don’t have a big team or a receptionist. If the phone rings, I’m the one who picks it up. Some days are just spent sitting with people and discussing their requirements over a cup of tea. It’s a quiet way to work, and I prefer it that way. Kothrud has grown so much since I first moved into this space at Survey No 86/1. There are new buildings everywhere now, but this corner feels the same. I keep the windows open when the weather is nice, even if the dust comes in. It’s just a simple life and a simple way of doing business without any of the extra noise.
