If you head down Hadapsar Satellite Road, you’ll find us at Amar Palace. Mohammedi Hardware is the kind of place where you have to move a bucket or a coil of rope just to get to the counter. It’s packed from floor to ceiling with everything from tiny screws to heavy-duty power tools. We know where everything is, even if it looks like a mess to anyone walking in for the first time. The dust from the road comes in through the open front, but that’s just part of being in Hadapsar. We spend our mornings unloading crates and our afternoons helping people figure out which plumbing fixture fits their old pipes. It’s a lot of talking and measuring. We don’t have a computer system that tracks every single nail; we mostly rely on knowing our stock by heart. Some customers have been coming to us since we first opened, and they usually stay for a few minutes just to catch up on local news. The air in here smells like oil and metal. It’s a honest way to earn a living, even if our clothes get greasy and our backs ache by closing time. We don't do much advertising because most people just see the sign while they’re stuck in traffic and remember they need a new hammer or some paint. It’s a simple shop for people who need to fix things.
