Modern Salon

Modern Salon is my place of work, and we are located at Shop No 1 on Sinhagad Road in the Dattawadi area of Pune. We are very easy to spot because we are right by the bus stop. It is a very busy spot because people are always waiting for their ride or getting off to head home. Our shop has been here for a good while, and we’ve seen the road change quite a bit over the years. Inside, it is a simple salon with the basic things we need to cut hair. We have a few chairs and mirrors, and the radio is usually playing some local stations in the background. Because we are near the bus stop, we get people popping in for a quick trim before they catch their bus. It makes for a fast-paced day sometimes. Dattawadi is a nice part of Pune to be in, and we know many of the families who live in the apartments around here. We don't bother with any high-end salon talk or complicated styles. We just give people the haircuts they ask for and keep the place as clean as we can. It’s a local business run by local people who just want to do a decent job. There are always people coming and going, and we like the bustle of being on Sinhagad Road. It’s a hardworking little shop and we are proud to be part of the community. We've been at this bus stop location for years and it feels like home.
