Megha Architect & Interior Designer

Our place is at Hadapsar 402. It’s not one of those flashy offices you see in magazines with glass walls and designer furniture. Megha Architect & Interior Designer is just a straightforward room where we keep our tools and our computers. We’ve got a big table in the middle that serves as everything—a drafting board, a lunch table, and a place to stack all the site reports. Hadapsar is always moving, and we’re right in the middle of it. The walk up to the fourth floor usually wakes us up in the morning since the elevator is a bit temperamental. Inside, it’s mostly quiet except for the tapping of keyboards and the occasional debate about where a light switch should go. We have catalogs from years ago that we keep meaning to throw away but never do. The walls are a plain off-white, mostly hidden by calendars and rolls of tracing paper. We don't spend money on fancy marketing or big signs. Most of our day is spent calling vendors or sketching out ideas for a new renovation. It’s a small operation, and that’s how we like it. We know where every pencil and scale ruler is, even if the desk looks like a disaster to anyone else. It’s honest work, and we just show up every day to do it without making a big fuss about anything. We are usually here until late most evenings, just getting things finished.
