Agarwal Associates

Our office is right on the Mumbai Pune Road, so there is never a quiet moment with all the trucks and cars zooming past outside. Agarwal Associates has been at this spot for some time now. Dealing with all the noise from the highway is just part of the job. Most days, the place is a bit of a mess with files and papers stacked up on the desks because there is always so much to track. We aren't the type to have a shiny, glass-walled office with expensive coffee machines. It’s more of a place where you sit on a plastic chair and wait your turn while we look through the documents. People stop by on their way between the cities, sometimes looking for help with land or just asking for directions since the road is so long. The dust from the traffic comes in if we leave the door open too long, so we keep the fan running at full speed most of the year. It gets pretty hot in the afternoons, but that’s just how it is in this part of the country. My brother and I usually handle everything ourselves, from the typing to talking to the folks who come in. We don’t really have a big staff or anything like that. It’s just a straightforward operation where we try to get the paperwork done and move on to the next thing. It keeps us busy and out of trouble.
