Medha Montessori School

Medha Montessori School is found along the Hadapsar Saswad Road in the Hadapsar area of Pune. It’s a busy stretch of road, so we have to be quite careful with the gate and the traffic when parents are dropping off their little ones. Being a Montessori school, our setup is a bit different than a traditional primary school. We have a lot of specific materials and low shelves so the children can reach things easily. The building isn't huge, but we’ve organized the rooms to make the most of the light and space. Most of our day is spent watching the kids explore and work with their hands. It can get quite loud during play sessions, but that’s just the nature of working with young children. The staff here is a small group, and we all pitch in with everything, from teaching to cleaning up spills. We don’t have a big corporate board or fancy titles. It’s just us in a building on Saswad Road trying to do a good job with the kids. Parents like that we are easy to talk to and that the school feels like a home. It’s a bit of a scramble sometimes when everyone arrives at once in the morning, but we’ve gotten used to the rhythm of it. We just focus on keeping the environment safe and making sure the children are occupied with their tasks. It is a practical, small school.
