Maya Beauty Parlour

Maya Beauty Parlour is just a small place near Zambre Palace. We have been at Maharshi Nagar-Bibwewadi for a while now. Every morning, I come in and sweep the floor before people start arriving. It gets busy in Pune, especially on this side of town. The traffic outside is always loud, but inside it’s different. We have the usual chairs and mirrors. Sometimes the fan makes a bit of noise, but it works fine for us. People from around here know where we are. They walk past Zambre Palace and find us easily. It’s a simple setup. I spend most of my day standing on my feet. My back hurts a bit by the evening, but that’s just how it goes. We do hair, some face stuff, and whatever else people ask for. We don’t have fancy machines, just the basic things that get the job done. The neighborhood is okay, mostly families and people going to work. I’ve seen kids grow up and start coming here themselves. It makes the day go by fast. There’s always someone coming in to chat while they wait. We don’t do big advertisements or anything like that. Just the name on the door and the address here in 411037. Usually, we close up when it gets dark and the street lights come on. It’s just a regular shop doing regular work for the people living nearby in Pune. We like it that way.
