Marodi Primary School

Marodi Primary School is tucked away in Viman Nagar. We are in Row House No 6, which is part of the Clover Arch complex. Viman Nagar is a nice area, usually a bit more open and modern than the old city parts of Pune. Being in a row house makes the school feel very different from a big institution. It feels more like a home, really. There is a small front area and the rooms are basically like what you would find in a normal house. We use the different floors for different classes throughout the day. Clover Arch is a quiet enough spot, so we do not get too much of the main road noise while we are working. The kids seem to like the smaller, more personal feel of the row house. We do not have a big assembly hall, so we just gather in the larger rooms or the small outdoor space we have available. It is a very local operation. We know the parents and the kids pretty well because it is not a huge school. Our staff are mostly people from nearby who come in every day. We do not go for any polished corporate branding. It is just a sign on the gate and the sound of children talking inside. The neighborhood is full of trees and other houses, which makes it a pleasant place for a primary school. We focus on the basics and making sure the kids are comfortable.
