Marias Unisex Salon

Marias Unisex Salon is tucked away on the first floor of Theb Greens, which is a building on North Main Road in Koregaon Park. If you know the area, you know how busy the streets can get with all the cafes and shops around. Our place is actually Flat No 4, so it feels more like a home than a big commercial store. We’ve got a few chairs and some mirrors set up for both men and women. It’s quiet up here compared to the main road outside. Most people who come in are from the nearby apartments or people working in the local offices who want to get their hair done during a break. We handle everything from basic cuts to coloring, but we don't make a big fuss about it. The light comes in through the windows in the afternoon, and it’s actually a pretty nice spot to spend the day. Since we are on the first floor, people usually have to know we are here to find us. We don't have a big flashing sign or anything like that. It’s just me and a couple of others working here most days. We keep things simple and try to make sure everyone leaves looking better than they did when they walked in through the flat door. It's been our routine for a while now, and we like the neighborhood. We usually close up once the sun starts setting and the street lights come on.
