Maple Pre School

Maple Pre School is located at S No 72/1 in Sangavi, Pune. It’s a busy little area, and our school fits right into the neighborhood. We started this place because there were so many young families moving into 411027 who needed a spot for their toddlers. The rooms are filled with colorful mats and plastic boxes of blocks. It’s never really quiet here until the kids go home in the afternoon. You can hear them singing rhymes or sometimes just crying because they want their lunch boxes. We have a small outdoor area where they can run around a bit, though it’s not a park. The walls have drawings taped up, some of them are just scribbles, but we keep them there anyway. Parents drop their children off on their way to work, often in a hurry, so the mornings are a bit chaotic at the gate. We spend a lot of time just cleaning up spilled water or helping kids find their shoes. The furniture is all small-sized, which looks funny when a tall parent sits down for a meeting. We don’t use any high-tech gadgets or anything. Most of the learning is just through playing and talking. It’s a simple place with a lot of noise and sticky handprints on the glass doors. We try to keep things organized, but with thirty small children, things usually end up a bit messy by noon. We also have a small cupboard for snacks.
