Mansa Stores

Mansa Stores is tucked away in Shukrawar Peth, specifically at the 1st Cross in Huriyopet, 89/90. This part of the city is old and the lanes are narrow, but that’s what makes it feel like home. We’ve been in this building for quite some time. It’s a traditional kind of shop where we keep a bit of everything that the local people might need. The shelves are packed high, and sometimes you have to move one thing to find another. We aren't fancy and we don't have those big glass windows you see in malls. It’s more of a walk-in place where people from the neighborhood stop by to pick up their daily essentials. We know the history of the 1st Cross pretty well because we’ve seen the changes over the years. The address 89/90 has a lot of stories. Working here means dealing with the heat in the summer and the rain dripping near the entrance during monsoon. We just put a bucket down and keep going. It’s an honest way to make a living. We talk to the regular customers about their families and the local news while we pack their items. There is no rush here like you find in the bigger parts of town. We just take it one customer at a time and make sure they get what they came for.
