Mandal Parishat Upper Primary School

This school is right on the Main Road in Baner. If you know the Pune 411045 area, you know how much it has changed from being mostly fields to being full of shops and apartments. We are located right in the middle of all that progress. The school is an upper primary one, so we deal with the older kids. The building is simple and doesn’t have much in the way of decoration. It sits right on the edge of the road, so the sound of traffic is basically the background music for everything we do. We have a few classrooms and a small office area. It’s a bit cramped when everyone is here at once, but we manage. The floor is concrete and the walls are a light color that shows the dirt pretty easily. We try to keep it clean, but with so many feet coming through, it’s a constant battle. We don’t have a big playground, just a bit of space out front where people park. It’s a very practical kind of place. We don't spend money on fancy brochures or advertisements. Most people find us because they live nearby or they see us when they’re driving past on the main road. It’s a straightforward local school where we just do our jobs every day without any extra drama or polish. We keep the doors open and the fans running, and that’s our day.
