Malas Bakers Snacks

Sadashiv Peth is full of history, and our place is at number 2010. Malas Bakers Snacks has been a part of this street for a while now. The building is old, like most things in this part of the city. We start baking early, and you can usually smell the biscuits and bread from a few doors down. It’s a small space, and the oven takes up a lot of room, making it quite warm inside even during the winter. We have glass jars filled with different types of snacks and salty items. It’s not a modern cafe with tables and chairs. Most people just stop by on their way home to pick up a packet of something to eat with their tea. We spend our time mixing dough, watching the timers, and packing things into plastic bags. Sometimes the floor gets a bit dusty with flour, and we’re constantly wiping down the counters. We don't use any fancy packaging or have a big brand name. It’s just us making stuff that people in Sadashiv Peth like to eat. The 2010 address is easy to find if you know the lane. We just keep the recipes simple and make sure the oven stays hot. It’s a good life, being surrounded by the smell of fresh baking every single day. We just focus on getting the snacks ready before the evening rush starts.
